European Floral Design Education
The EFDE program contains 3 modules. The first one can be considered a fundamental class in which all basic rules of floristry will be explained. Very profound knowledge that isn’t only applicable on floristry but on any visual art. In the second module we focus on management, setting up business plans and focussing on marketing. In module 3 we are discussing the practical issues for setting up a shop included accountancy.
There is quite a lot of theory but the main focus will always be the practical approach. So all big topics will pass by: as well as commercial floral designs we are going to create art. We will teach different approaches of weddings, shop window decorations, car decorations, funeral ornaments, plant decoration,… An endless list!
During more than 25 years students were constantly involved in building big floral projects. The best way to learn is to be in the middle of the action. We are proud of all the big projects we realized together with our students!
We are looking for organizers to set up a new EFDE program, supported by the Royal Belgian Florist Association and certified by the Belgian Chambers of Commerce.
