Land Art

Land art is a form of conceptual art that emerged in the 1960s -1970s. We often make use of the materials of the Earth including for instance the soil and rocks and vegetation and water found on-site. And usually we create it distant from population centers. Though sometimes fairly inaccessible, the general public will only learn about it by bringing back photographic documentation  commonly to the urban art gallery. Sculptures are not placed in the landscape, rather, the landscape is the means of their creation.
