This six-day seminar is organised by Kouline Floral Art School in Shenzhen, bringing Stef Adriaenssens back to China for an intensive program dedicated to contemporary plant and floral design.

Six days in Shenzhen dedicated to floral design, creativity and professional growth.

This seminar brings together two complementary worlds: advanced floral design and plant compositions. Rather than simply reproducing arrangements, students will explore how technique, proportion, structure, material and personal expression can transform flowers and plants into distinctive design. Throughout the six days, Stef Adriaenssens will combine demonstrations, theory and hands-on practice — encouraging each participant to understand not only how to create, but especially why a design works.

Days 1-3

The Art of Green Living

From plants as material to plants as design.

Plants offer much more than decoration. During these three days, students explore how shape, line, texture, rhythm and negative space can transform living material into distinctive contemporary design. The course develops from the identity of the individual plant towards its relationship with furniture, interiors and architecture — ultimately exploring how plant compositions can become part of the space itself.

Days 4-6

The Art of Floral Lifestyle

From flowers to table design and complete experiences.

These three days explore how floral design can become part of a sophisticated lifestyle. Starting from the character and identity of the flower, students move towards the table as a complete design — where flowers interact with tableware, textiles, colour, rhythm, proportion and atmosphere. The final step goes beyond the table, exploring how floral design can shape a party, an interior and the experience of the guests.

19–21 September — Plant Design

Three days discovering how plants can become sophisticated design objects with lasting decorative and commercial value.

22–24 September — Floral Design

Three days exploring contemporary floral design through structure, proportion, technique and personal expression.
